Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International
Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport is truly the record-breaking airport. It’s the very first airport in history to have passed the 100 million passengers milestone making ATL the world’s busiest and most efficient airport for many years in a row. TBI is immensely proud to take part in this incredible challenge.
Hartsfield Jackson is the main hub for Delta Airlines. Located less than three hours away from 90% of the US population, the airport is a strategic element in the national aviation system. Domestic airlines offer direct flights to most of East Coast destinations bringing leisure passengers as well as business-oriented travelers. Several airlines are also heading west to the warm beaches of California, Texas destinations, and Hawaii islands. Most legacy and low-cost carriers also operate regular flights to the Midwest and the northern states. On the international side, several foreign carriers as well as Delta Airlines and low-coast carriers are offering direct flights to the Caribbean and Latin America. Many European legacy airlines are crossing the Atlantic Ocean on a daily basis. We are also hosting Asian and African carriers as well as airlines from the Middle East.
ATL passengers operations are spread across seven concourses, two of which are entirely managed by TBI, as well as all international operations, the entire international terminal and all common use gates, adding three other concourses to TBI’s scope of operation. Moreover, TBI is responsible for ramp control and gate management, including the first two busiest ramp in America. Additionally, we oversee the baggage claim system for all domestic airlines beside Delta Airlines.
In order to ensure safe, secure and efficient operations while delivering world class experience to the passengers, TBI is heavily relying on a wide range of innovative technology. For more than 45 years, we have been building strong relationships with government agencies, airlines, handlers and all airport stakeholders. Our unique collaboration with them is now allowing us to implement state-of-the-art technologies, making ATL one of the most modern airports in the country. From biometric border control to a unique collaboration system within the airport ATC system, TBI is always looking to enhance airport operations.
