Hollywood Burbank

Hollywood Burbank Airport is located in the Los Angeles area in California. It is the closest airport to Downtown Los Angeles. It hosts a large number of executive traffic and the passenger traffic is dominated by legacy carriers. TBI operates the entire airport, from administration to operations, including maintenance and the fire department.

The year 2025 marked the third consecutive record-breaking year for passenger traffic. This exiting trend is due to keep going as our forecasts show a potential significant increase in passenger demand. It is in TBI culture to take proactive actions. Thus, in collaboration with the local airport authority, Hollywood Burbank engaged in the “Elevate BUR” program, including the building of a brand-new terminal. TBI is proud to take part in this incredible initiative by supporting the Operational Readiness for Activation and Transfer, to ensure the smooth and complete integration of the new facility into daily airport operations. To accompany this major milestone in the airport history, TBI is also optimizing the command center with the deployment of state of the art computed Aided Dispatch System.

In January 2025, TBI proved its resilience abilities by facing the Los Angeles wildfires, particularly the Eaton Fire in Altadena. Our operation department managed flight disruption while maintaining the airport safe and operating to ensure support to local enforcement and firefighting operations. TBI re-positioned one of its own fire units to Camarillo Airport to support air operations. TBI is incredibly proud to have supported local communities in these difficult moments.

These specific skills developed by our team will be a very helpful gift in the coming years. As one of the busiest airports in the Los Angeles Area, Hollywood Burbank and our staff are in the front line to accommodate the LA28 Olympics induced traffic. TBI will be facing this exiting challenge by providing our partners and passengers with what we best do: excellent customer service, safe and efficient operations and a viable business model.
