Winter Weather Fern hits Atlanta
January 27th, 2026 – Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport
This weekend was particularly busy for our assets on the East Coast. Here is a snapshot of our operations at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The North Georgia region got hit by extremely low temperatures and freezing rains while being on alert for potential snowfalls due to Storm Fern. TBI AM Crisis Management Unit was activated for about 72 hours straight. This unusually long operation deeply challenged our team’s ability to respond efficiently and in a timely manner to keep operations running.
Here are a couple of pictures summing up our team’s busy weekend.
Our teams truly proved their dedication and professionalism this weekend. TBI AM staff worked in difficult conditions to keep planes moving and to allow passengers to safely reach their destination.
